OUR ACHIEVEMENTS SINCE 2007
The heart of Mercy Inc. (Kenya) was
launched on December 13th 2007 at Kijabe, Lari Division of Kiambu
District in the Central Province of Kenya.

photos. This colourful event was
graced by 187 children and youths from various local school and
churches who attended a three children and youth camp sponsored and
facilitated by Heart of Mercy Inc., Cheer-up, Self Help Group in
conjunction with the then Christian Children Fund (USAID) Project.
Since then, Heart of Mercy Inc. (Kenya) has achieved the following
goals and objectives:
2008;
- Establishment of a legal system
and policy frame work by joining the Evangelistic sponsors
Association as one community outreach Division thus the heart of
Marcy Inc. (Kenya) has its head office Division at Changamwe,
Mombasa, coat province.
- Establishing a vocational children
and youth camp programme in August 2008. Our first camp was Changamwe, Kilindini District of Mombasa coast province of Kenya.
292 children and youths attended for 5 days events. Focus was on
creating awareness of the killed diseases such as HIV/AIDS,
Tuberclosis, pneumonia and Malaria. Youth issue such as boy/girl
relationships, sex and drugs/ substances abuse were also addressed
during this camp.
- This programme was sponsored by
Evangelistic Sponsors Association in conjunction with Heart of Mercy
inc. (Kenya)
2009;
- Establishing and opening a new branch
office July at Njoro town, Njoro District, Rift Valley province of
Kenya.
- August: establishing a vocational children and
youth programme/ this one day event was attended by nearly two
thousand children who came from Njoro and the neighbours district of
Molo and Nakuru. This programme was sponsored by the Egerton Cosmopolitan s4elf help group (courtesy of Mr. Peter N. Njau) in
conjunction with Heart of mercy Inc. Kenya. Focus was again on
addressing youth ushers and creating awareness on HIV/AIDS plus
other related disease. Behaviour changes moral and spiritual issues
had a centre stage as well.
- 26th August 2009: in the same
month we were privileged also to link up with a local church at Molo
Town, Molo District for other vocational; children and youth camp
programme. About 180 children and youth attended the programme was
sponsored by the redeemed Gospel church (Molo Town) in conjunction
with Heart of Mercy Inc.
- 19th Dec 209: another vocational children and youth camp was
held with 350 children, youth and adults in attendance.
Parents and guardians of these children had their lessons done
separately. Focus was on how to bring up godly children and on
how to identify when your child is on drugs: symptoms
and behaviour. A lesson on Food Security were also taught.
Children and youths were taught on
a) How to Build your self-esteem /image.
b) Godly character Building: focus on Holiness.
c) HIV/AIDs: Importance of Voluntary Counseling and Testing
(VCT).
This programe was sponsored by the Egerton Cosmopolitan Self
-Help Group, in conjunction with Heart of Mercy Inc (Kenya) and
Timsales Ltd Elburgon office.
November 2009
Government Agency acknowledges Heart of Mercy Inc.(Kenya) for
Distribution of Relief seeds.
The Ministry of Agriculture Njoro District provided Heart of
Mercy Inc with 88 small bags of maize seeds to distribute to the
vulnerable farmers within Njoro location for planting. Already
majority of the farmers have planted and Heart of Mercy is in the
process of monitoring for a feedback to the Agriculture officer
Njoro District (DAO).
3rd Nov.2009:
Heart of Mercy Inc (Kenya) became a member of Kenya Aids NGOs
Consortium (KANCO). KANCO is a National Membership Networking
Organization with over 500 NGOs, FBOs ,Private Sectors and Research
Institutions.
17th November 2009:
Barclays Bank collaborates with Heart of Mercy Inc (Kenya).
The two groups joined their efforts and Barclays Bank Nakuru Branch
send two teams which planted trees for environmental conservation
and painted two different children institution courtesy of Heart of
mercy Inc.(Kenya).These two children institution were:-
1. Yasha Mission Academy – ( Near Egerton University)
2. International children mission and Rescue centre for
street children –Nakuru.(Kakoto area).
1st January 2010 - Active Njoro Project Started
The CEO of Diversity UK Community LTD Ms Julliet N. Makhapila in
conjunction with the CEO of Heart of Mercy of Inc.(Kenya) Mr. Samuel W. Ng’ang’a both
agrees to establish a partnership project.
Place: at the residence of Mr.& Mrs.Julius Makhapila (Rumwe farm) Njoro District.
Forty six (46) children and youths together with (10) Adults
attended this
colourful historic events which was sponsored and facilitated by
Diversity UK community Ltd in conjunction with Heart of Mercy Inc.(Kenya).
The two organizations shall continue to sponsor and facilitate the
implementation of Active Njoro Projects whose functions and
objectives are:-
Establishing a feeding programme for the most deserving children
from disadvantaged and vulnerable families within Njoro District. A pilot programme begins early Feb.2010 with
ten (10) children benefiting.
Contributing towards Education Health and spiritual care and
development.
Already one (1) girl and two(2) boys have
been short listed by Active njoro project for scholarship at Njoro
Polytechnic Institute this Quarter.
Initiating and establishing income generating projects for
sustainability of the above .Already negotiations are on going for
establishment of a Bakery factory nat Njoro Town centre .
Promoting Enviromental Conservation Programmes and projects
Moonlit Preparatory School Scholarship
5th January 2010:
Heart of Mercy Inc. (Kenya)receives five
(5) education scholarship from the CEO of Moonlit Preparatory School (Mr Njau P. Njoroge), of Njoro District .,Rift
Valley Province.
The Five children who
benefited are orphans living with relatives and guardians who are
from disadvantaged families within Njoro Location.
Heart of Mercy Inc. (Kenya)
will forever remain grateful to Mr.& Ms. Naju Peter Njoroge, the proprieties of
Moonlit Preparatory School for this
very Noble course.
